Star Red 10 is a laser beam alignment tool designed to assist in bonding diamond anvils to their WC seat. Used in conjunction with our Planet 3 bonding jig, precise anvil-seat alignment is achieved prior to bonding. Using a low power laser, the diamond anvil plane can be optically aligned to the conical seat, resulting in high parallelism between the diamond anvil plane and the seat base. Planet 3 is a universal jig for mounting anvils to DAC seats using epoxies or high temperature ceramic glues.
Used primarily to glue the anvil diamond on the seat. The diamond mounting template is used to block diamonds to tungsten carbide, boron nitride and other diamond seats with epoxy glue or ceramic. We offer a spring loaded threaded stainless steel tool. The universal design to work both with diamonds to allow table and with conical support diamonds (Boehler type).
Jigs accept seats from 9 to 18mm in diameter and a wide range of seat thicknesses from 3 to 12mm. Seat position is adjusted by M3 knurled screws. A typical plunger has a through hole, allowing the diamond culet to be illuminated for alignment.
The diamonds can be glued on the seat with different glues or embedded with a Cu ring, it depends on the type of DAC cell used
The cell used for high pressure experiments can be used in different environments, low or high temperature, in vacuum, in low temperature for magnetism experiments.
Each environment needs an appropriate bonding solution.

2-Low temperature vacuum environment (LOCTITE Stycast 2850 FT) or (Cu ring)
3-Low temperature environment for magnetism measure (LOCTITE Stycast 2850 FT)
4-High temperature environment (Aremco’s ceramic ARMC-552 adhesives)
5-High temperature environment in vacuum (Aremco’s ceramic ARMC-552 adhesives)
6-Room temperature (use a standard epoxy like Araldite Epoxy Adhesive 2014-2)
