Indenter tool
The Gasket Indenter is a useful tool used to prepare gaskets for high pressure DAC experiments and reduce the risk of breakage of overstressed diamonds.
Design is based on a DAC Cell structure with side windows for system alignment and gasket insertion. Force is applied using tightening screws
The anvil alignment system is identical to a DAC Cell where the lateral alignment of the anvils is adjusted using screws and the parallelism of the die tips is ensured by micrometric machining and the possibility of rotation of the components.
A system very simple and allows a safe alignment.
An internal spring allows, after indentation, to open the anvils and allow the insertion of the new gasket.
A micrometer is installed in contact with an anvil to verify the actual thickness of the gasket under pressure.
